For over two decades, Gramercy Music Pte Ltd and its customers have been pursuing a common passion – music.

It all started in 1988 in a tiny 300 sq ft store in Odeon Katong Shopping Centre. Back then, the company was a humble music retail store selling music scores, pianos and other musical instruments.

Over the years, as music grew in popularity and importance with new orchestras springing up and the government providing much needed support for music studies in schools, Gramercy invested a huge amount of effort into meeting the needs of this growing market, capitalising on the opportunity to expand. Today, we have hit that pitch, evolving into a reputable company that not only retails pianos, stringed instruments and music scores but also exports them to Asian countries, predominantly Malaysia.

With our business expanding, we needed a larger showroom for our extensive range of products. Thus, on a high note, Gramercy Music moved to its present premises in 1990. There, in 5,220 sq ft of shop space at Nos. 291, 293 and 295 Tanjong Katong Road, Singapore 437076 - as well as a warehouse for logistics support - a new chapter in the Gramercy Music story began. By the end of 2009, in order to meet ever-increasing demand, Gramercy Music will once again relocate its head office to a newly acquired 4-storey building at 19 Ubi Crescent, approx. 12,000 sq ft in floor area.

Continuing to strike the right chord with our customers and partners, Gramercy Music has not only managed to grow its retailing business but also the export arm. We now deal extensively in violins, violas, cellos, double basses and accessories. Our success comes from establishing strong partnerships with makers from China to Europe as well as master makers of modern and classic string instruments to suit different needs. What’s more, you can even look forward to the professional services of master violin makers and restorers from Europe. All these are to serve you in the best way possible.

By keeping up with the newest trends and demands, we hope to carry on giving you the best value.
