1st World Conference on Arts Education, Lisbon, Portugal

Organised by UNESCO and the Republic of Korea, the 2nd World Conference on Arts Education will take place in Seoul, Korea, from May 25 to 28 2010.

The main objective of the conference, which is a follow-up to the 1st World Conference on Arts Education (Lisbon, Portugal, March 2006), is to highlight the significant role of arts education within and outside the school environment as well as to further advocate the importance of arts education to the international community.
 
The conference will bring together various experts from UNESCO member states, renowned professionals, researchers, grassroots practitioners, teachers and major figures representing international NGOs and foundations in the field of arts education.
